Volunteering Matters Choices
About Us
Volunteering Matters (formerly known as CSV) is a national charity leading UK volunteering in policy and practice.
What we do
Our Choices programme offers independent living support to a wide range of people, including people with disabilities or learning difficulties, older people and families.
What we charge
From £147.35 per volunteer per week.
What we offer
We provide Full Time Volunteers who are available for live-in support with a wide range of tasks, including personal care, domestic tasks, companionship, and accessing the community. Our volunteers are aged 18-35 and each one commits to volunteering 35 hours per week for between 6 months and a year. Volunteering Matters provides ongoing recruitment and support for our service users.
Eligibility/Suitability
We assess potential service users on a case by case basis. We usually work with individuals with support needs totalling 35 hours per week or more. Our volunteers can be a helpful option for many individuals and families, but they are not an appropriate choice in all circumstances, e.g where 24 hour nursing care is required, or medical conditions are serious and advanced.
