Homeline & Homeline+
Homeline provides an emergency response service operated by a team of experienced, professional and caring Homeline Response Officers – 24 hrs a day. Our response officers are able to administer first aid, and are trained in the use of defibrillators, allowing us to manage life threatening situations.
Our Homeline unit will need to be connected to your telephone line and plugged into an electrical socket. Suitable key holder availability will need to be arranged prior to installation – at least 2 key holders or key safe details will be required. Our alarm unit will supplied with a pendant or wrist strap. In the event of an emergency you simply press the button on your pendant or alarm unit.
For reassurance and security, Homeline or Homeline+ is a very inexpensive option. The Homeline service can be provided for under £6 per week. The cost of Homeline+ is dependent on the level of support and equipment needed and will be calculated during the assessment.
Pressing the pendant will automatically connect you to a Control Room operator who will immediately contact a friend, relative or one of our team of Homeline Response Officers who will attend the your property and deal with the call. If you cannot speak, the Control Room operator will assume it is an emergency and send a Homeline Response Officer to the property urgently.
Many older people, and younger people with disabilities, rely on our service to assist them in living independently, safe in the knowledge that they can summon help should an emergency situation arise. The service is available to service users living within Swindon Borough Council boundaries.
