If you are NOT an Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust service user:

Please contact your GP who may be able to help you with your mental health or learning disability problems or the person you care for. If necessary, your GP will refer you to the mental health or learning disability service.

You can also contact NHS Direct by telephoning 0845 46 47 twenty four hours a day. The person answering your call will be able to give you advice and help in placing you in touch with your local mental health service.

If it is an emergency you should go to the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department of your local hospital.

If you ARE an Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust service user:

As part of your care planning, your care co-ordinator (the main person who is currently helping you) should give you detailed information on how to get in touch with the mental health services when required.

If it is an emergency, contact your care co-ordinator.
